Here are some simple tips for honeymoon planning that will help make your planning easier and your experience much better.
* Do Your Homework. Before speaking with us, spend some time considering what type of trip you're interested in and approximately how much you want to spend. The more specific your destination and activity wish list, the easier it is for us to help you find exactly what you are looking for within your budget.
* Know Your Budget. Be up front and honest about your budget. We don’t want to present you with options that are completely out of your price range. It is a waste of both our time. What are your priorities? Knowing what you can and can't live without will help us build a custom-fit itinerary within your budget.
* One of the most important credentials your travel agent has is first-hand experience with the properties we are recommending. Agents who have visited a specific hotel know which room or building has the best view and can recommend the best meal or dessert to order in specific restaurants. Sometimes we even have an inside line to the owner or manager and can make special requests on your behalf.
* If at all possible, be flexible. You'll have more options for discount fares and other promotions if your time frame is flexible. Consider that something as small as a single day’s flexibility on either end of your prospective dates can make a huge difference in the number of options available, and the price of your trip.
* We are patient, we ask lots of questions, and we are straightforward about a destination's advantages as well as drawbacks. We have a genuine interest in your feedback. We want to entertain your dreams with an open mind and still present a wide range of viable options.
* Be up front with us. If you have any medical, diet, exercise or special needs, tell us! We can ensure that your needs are accommodated, and may even suggest a different itinerary that is more suitable to your abilities.
* Sometimes travel agencies get stung by potential clients who "window shop" for agents and itineraries then book the trip themselves. We spend a considerable amount of time and resources in training to become familiar with destinations and properties, as well as keeping current with the changes that are inevitable in our industry. We charge a fee for our services and expertise. This fee will vary according to the intricacies of the trip and is applied to your payment when the trip is booked. This insures that our time and efforts in researching your options are not wasted.
* Last: Ask a lot of questions! No question is too outrageous, so please ask us. That is what we are here for.
